Either way works. A lot of our jobs come to us through bathroom showrooms and kitchen suppliers we have worked with for years — you choose the room with them, and we install it. Equally, plenty of customers arrive with a plan of their own, a supplier's drawing, or nothing at all beyond a room they have stopped liking. We will tell you what the space will physically allow before anybody orders anything.

A free, no-obligation home survey. We measure, look at where the services run, work out what the floor and the walls will take and talk through what you want to change. You get an honest view of what is straightforward, what is possible with a bit of building work, and what is not worth doing — and none of it commits you to going further.

We do structural alterations and room reconfigurations as part of renovation work, as well as straightforward installs. Knocking two rooms together, turning an unused landing into a bathroom, reworking a loft — that sort of thing is core work for us rather than an exception, and it is why the fourth item on our service list is 'renovations' and not 'extras'.

Our own fully employed, experienced team. Not a different subcontractor each week. Where something legally requires a registered gas or electrical engineer, that is brought in from the appropriate registered trade — as it must be.

Yes, and a good part of the business is exactly that. We handle reactive and planned maintenance for landlords, letting agencies, housing associations, local authorities, property management companies and commercial clients — plumbing, electrical, carpentry, doors, locks and windows, tiling, plastering and general repairs.

We don't publish prices, because the figure is decided by the room and by what goes in it rather than by a page on a website. What we will do is survey it for free and give you a proper written figure afterwards, instead of a number guessed at over the phone.

It depends on how much of the layout is moving and what has to come out first. We would rather give you a realistic programme after the survey than a headline number here that turns out to be wrong for your house. What we will commit to is the sequence being planned in advance and stuck to.
