Nineteen years of doing the awkward half of the job properly.
Concept Installations (Southern) Ltd was incorporated on 14 September 2007 and Paul Biffin has been a director since the October of that year — which is on the public record at Companies House rather than on a badge we made ourselves. In the years since, the firm has grown into the part of this trade that customers actually find hardest to buy: not the design, not the products, but the fitting, the sequencing and the making-good.
Much of the work arrives through Hampshire's bathroom showrooms and kitchen suppliers, who hand us a design and a customer and expect both to come out the other end intact. That relationship is why our layouts tend to be realistic about what a room will take, and it is also why we are equally happy working to a design you have drawn yourself on the back of an envelope.
The team is employed rather than assembled. The same faces come back day after day, they tidy up before they leave, and when something needs deciding on site there is one person to ring about it.
One firm from strip-out to snagging
Layout changes, plumbing, electrics, plastering, tiling, flooring and the joinery all run by us in one sequence. You are not project-managing five trades and holding their diaries together — which, on a kitchen or bathroom, is most of the stress.
A design that survives the survey
We work in partnership with leading bathroom showrooms and kitchen suppliers, so we see hundreds of designs a year and know which ones fit. Where a drawing and a soil stack disagree, we say so before anything is ordered rather than three weeks into the job.
Employed fitters, and a tidy site
Ours is a fully employed, experienced team. Customers keep writing the same two things in public: that the work is meticulous, and that we leave the house clean. Both of those are easier to promise than to do, which is exactly why they end up in the reviews.

From concept to completion

01
Free home survey
We come and look at the actual room — not at photographs of it. Where the stack runs, what the floor build-up will take, whether that wall is structural, where the consumer unit is and how much of the disruption can be kept out of the rest of the house. No charge and no obligation.

Design, or your design
Bring us a showroom design, a supplier's plan or your own sketch, and we will tell you honestly what fits and what does not. If you would rather start from nothing, we will point you at the showrooms we work with most and take it from there.

One programme, one team
Strip-out and disposal, structural alterations if the layout is moving, first fix, boarding and tanking, plastering, tiling, flooring, second fix, and the joinery — planned as one sequence before day one instead of being improvised around whoever is free.

Hand-back and snagging
Everything run and checked, the site cleaned properly, and a walk round with you where you get to be fussy. Anything on the list gets dealt with — and afterwards you ring the same number, not a call centre.

Where we work

The office is at Wallops Wood near Droxford, which puts Winchester, Bishop's Waltham and Wickham on the doorstep, Southampton and Eastleigh twenty minutes west, and Fareham, Portchester and Havant the same distance south.
